    “Aufgrund der Beschreibung hatten wir eine etwas andere Vorstellung von Torrita di Siena. Es ist ein netter, malerischer, etwas verschlafener Ort, in dem jetzt (zumindest Mitte/Ende Mai) nicht gerade viel los ist und es wenig "geschäftig" zugeht. Die Hauptstraße dagegen ist gut befahren, was bei den gehweglosen Abschnitten für Spaziergänger gar nicht mal so ungefährlich ist. Für größere Einkäufe oder „Shopping“ braucht man auf alle Fälle ein Auto, denn dazu muss man (bis auf den ansässigen COOP) in die umliegenden Orte fahren.     Zum Einkaufen gibt es im Ort einen COOP, der fast alles bietet, was man tagtäglich braucht.
    Für grössere Einkäufe empfehle ich die Einkaufszentren in Sinalunga. Auch einen Fischhändler findet man dort.
    Dort in der Nähe gibt es auch das Fashion Outlet Valdichiana mit bekannten aber auch weniger bekannten Markengeschäften.
    Von Torrita da Siena ist man schnell in Montepulciano (knapp 15 Minuten), Pienza, Montalcino, am Lago di Trasimeno (Umbrien) und Siena erreicht man in knapp einer Stunde. Der ideale Ausgangsort, um die Toskana zu erkunden.
