    “Odeceixe ist ein kleines hübsches Städtchen mit engen Gassen und winzigem Hauptplatz mit einigen Restaurants und Läden. Der tolle Strand liegt etwas außerhalb. Die Seixe mündet dort ins Meer und bietet auch für die kleinsten Besucher ein tolles Badevergnügen. Ein weiterer toller Strand ist in ca. 15 min Fahrtzeit zu erreichen und heißt "Carvalhal.”

    “Supermarkt (mit allem, was man/frau braucht ) in 9 km (Sao Teotonio, gleich vorn rechts im Ort), in Odeceixe guter Metzger und schöner Fischmarkt. Gute Restaurants mit lokaler Kost gibts viele im Umkreis, am besten bei den freundlichen Verwaltern nachfragen.
    Zum Strand sind es (wenn man am Haus vorbei weiter fährt und durch den Fluss schwimmt/watet - oder gleich drin badet...) nur etwas mehr als ein Kilometer, um den Fluss herum durch den Ort und vor Praia de Odeceixe links hoch kommt man zum zweiten Strand, der ungleich schöner ist (und kleiner, Nacktbadestrand).
    Bis zur Algarve oder ins Monchique-Gebirge sind es nur 45 Minuten Fahrt. Auto ist empfehlenswert.
    Und Portugal ist immer noch so spottbillig wie vor 20 Jahren (wenn man die Tourostenburgen meidet) - wir haben mit zwei Personen (auch in Porto und Lissabon!!) für 15 bis 25 Euro eine komplette Mahlzeit mit Wein, Bica und Bargaco bekommen, Vorsuppe und Nachtisch ebenfalls dabei.”
