    “Gimillan ist ein nettes kleines Dorf oberhalb von Cogne. Kein Durchgangsverkehr, freundliche Bewohner. Einkaufen muß man in Cogne (kleiner Supermarkt sowie Spezialgeschäfte), man kann mit einem Bus gratis dorthin fahren (letzter Bus fährt um 16h30 zurück ins Dorf).

    Sowohl von Gimillan als auch von Cogne aus gibt es herrliche Wandermöglichkeiten, z.b. ins Grauson-Tal, zu den Wasserfällen von Lillaz (gewaltig im Frühjahr!) sowie zum Lago di Loie. Besonders schön ist der Aufstieg zum Rifugio Vittorio Sella von Valnontey aus; man kann Füchsen und Steinböcken begegnen. In Cogne gibt es einen schönen Kinderspielplatz vor herrlichen Wiesen. Am schönsten sind im Mai/Juni die üppigen Bergwiesen. Wochentags ist man auf Wanderungen fast allein. Echte Erholung!”
