    “Wer es ruhig mag, ist hier richtig. Es gibt auf dem Deich und den Wiesen ringsrum mehr Schafe als Menschen. Überhaupt wimmelt es nur so von Tieren. Vögel aller Arten in der Luft, im und am Wasser und zu Lande. Ständig sieht man Wildkaninchen, Feldhasen, wilde Fasane. Es gibt viele Kühe und Pferde. Vom Ferienhaus ist es nur ein Sprung bis zum Deich und dem Wasser mit einer Badestelle. Bis Büsum ist es auch nicht weit, man kann hin radeln. Vor Ort gibt es ein Bistro beim Campingplatz, ein kleines Hotel, eine Imbiss-Gaststätte beim Golfplatz und ein etwas erweitertes Gaststättenbistro am Deich, gleich bei der Badestelle. In Büsum gibt es genug Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Aldi, Edeka, Lidl.
    Mit dem Fahrrad kann man hier wunderschön radeln, überall gibt es Fahrradwege. Man sollte sich nur immer auf eine steife Brise einstellen, Windstill ist es eher selten. Die Landschaft fanden wir, der Nordsee entsprechend, einfach nur toll.
    In Wawerort selbst gibt es außer den oben genannten nur noch eine Einfamilienhaussiedlung, also alles in allem ist es sehr beschaulich und ruhig. Wir waren allerdings auch die ersten beiden Maiwochen hier, das kann in der Hochsaison sicher etwas anders sein.”
