    “LIDL låg 400meter bort. Dock en brantbacke att ta sig hem så vi tog vår hyrbil och handlade. Taxi gick att beställa enkelt att ta sig till restauranger osv.”

    “Violi Charaki ist ein Vorort von Rethymno. In 40 Meter Entfernung von der Villa gibt es eine noch griechisch ursprüngliche Taverne. Sie wird auch von Einheimischen besucht. Hier gibt es noch eine Speisekarte ohne Bilder. Sehr leckere Starter (Rote Beete, Saganaki, gefüllte Weinblätter etc...), sowie der leckere Wein, lies uns da öfter einkehren. 100 Meter entfernt ist ein typisch griechischer Supermarkt, wo man alles wichtige bekommt. Gleich daneben ein Bäcker mit Konditorei (unbedingt die gefüllten Blätterteigvarianten ausprobieren). Ein Geldautomat steht dort auch. 100 Meter weiter, über eine der tollsten Kreuzungen von ganz Griechenland, gibt es, für den der es braucht, auch einen Lidl Markt. Mit dem Taxi ist man für 7 Euro im Herzen von Rethymno. Man sollte schon einen Leihwagen haben um flexibel genug zu sein.”
