    “Ein sehr schönes Freibad mit großer Liegewiese und ausreichend Parkplätzen. Die Stadt Tann hat mehrere Bäckereien, Eisdielen, Restaurants und einen schönen Marktplatz. Erwähnenswert ist das Freilichtmuseum, die Schlossanlage mit 3 Schlössern und das Stadttor mit kleinem Museum. Die Ausschilderung der Wanderwege ist oft ungenau aber mit einer guten Wanderkarte lässt sich die Umgebung gut erkunden. Die Stadt Tann war für uns der ideale Ausgangspunkt nach Fulda, zur Wasserkuppe, Erfurt Eisenach, zur Wartburg, nach Vacha mit alter Grenzbrücke über die Werra, Geisa mit Gedenkstätte Point Alpha.”
