    “In Steingaden is wel een goede supermarkt, maar die is niet te belopen. Elke activiteit moet dus beginnen met een autorit(je). Er is in ieder geval één uitstekend restaurant (Gasthof Graf) in Steingaden, naast enkele andere. Er zijn genoeg bezienswaardigheden in Steingaden zelf om een dag te vullen, zeker als je de Wieskirche daarbij betrekt.

    In de omgeving zijn diverse mooie wandelingen te maken. In de wijde omtrek zijn veel bezienswaardigheden en attracties, zowel voor zomer als winter (wintersport). Uiteraard zijn Füssen en de kastelen van Hohenschwangau een must. Al met al een schitterende omgeving, met de besneeuwde Alpentoppen overal op de achtergrond. Met mooi weer is de Zugspitze een regelrechte aanrader.”
