    “Rota hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Ort ist sehr gepflegt, hat viel Grün und schöne Blumenbepflanzungen. Auch der Strand ist sauber, wurde täglich gereinigt und war jetzt Ende August, Anfang September auch nicht übervölkert. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe gibt es in Form kleiner Kramläden, große Einkaufszentren am Stadtrand. Restaurants finden sich in der Altstadt viele, besonders gut ist der Embarcadero am Hafen, mit schönem Blick auf das Meer und toller Küche. Für uns Golfer war es auch nicht weit bis zum Glofplatz Costa Ballena, 27 Loch Platz erster Güte. Fahrzeit ca. 10-15 Minuten.”

Officially opened for play in 1997 to house all levels of competition, starting with the European Tour Second Stage Qualifying, The Cuadrangular Internationals at Costa Ballena, King and Queens Cup and the official training base for National Teams during the Winter months.
