    “Prelà up the valley only has a village store and is very pretty. Dolcedo down the valley is also very pretty with a couple of nice restaurants - the place in the main square is recommenced for a meal out and the church is a must visit. Imperia has a very pretty cathedral area and is worth a wander round. Siesta time for most shops is from 1 to 4 pm. Shopping for the villa can be done at the Conad Superstore on the outskirts of Imperia...the only place you need and the best for miles around....it’s a 10 minute drive. Monaco is an hours drive and will cost around 12 Euro’s in road tolls. Roads around the villa are quite poor and narrow. Lots of cyclists with ‘e’ bikes around and the area seems particular popular with German tourists so do not expect a lot of English spoken!”
