    “Platanes is een typisch Grieks toeristendorp. Een lange straat met aan beide kanten winkeltjes en restaurants. Wij waren er in mei (2-9) en toen waren nog niet alle restaurants open. Vanaf de hoofdstraat zijn er diverse straatjes naar het strand. En bij het strand veel leuke strandtentjes, vaak ook met eigen zwembad. Heel leuk! Restaurants waren goed en de mensen allemaal heel vriendelijk!
    Ook ben je zo in het grotere en drukkere Rethminon. Niks mis mee dus!”

    “Für Kreta liegt das Ferienhaus einfach klasse. Ein Haus mit Pool direkt am Meer und direkt an einem sehr guten Supermarkt. Auch eine kleine Shoppingstraße mit Souvenirs ist gleich hinter dem Haus. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell in Rethymnon. Ein sehr schöner Ort.”

    “Het is min of meer een strook langs de kust met uitsluitend toerisme. Wanneer je het smalle straatje van 200 meter uitloopt kom je op een doorlopende weg met allemaal eettentjes en winkeltjes enz. Een supermarkt licht bij de uitgang van het complex. Een discotheek of iets dergelijks voor de wat oudere jeugd hebben we niet gezien. Een auto is voor het dagelijkse leven niet nodig, maar voor uitstapjes wel. Hoewel er wel regelmatig een bus langs komt.”
