    “Was soll ich sagen: wir haben uns fast einheimisch gefühlt. Die Menschen in Maishofen (und Umgebung) sind unglaublich nett und freundlich. Nichts kann sie aus der Ruhe bringen. Das haben wir wirklich bewundert.
    Es gibt einen Spar im Ortskern, und ein paar hundert Meter weiter einen Bäcker der auch sonntags und an Feiertagen offen hat.
    Für alle, die gerne und gut essen: das Hotel Zur Post ist der Hammer!! wir waren jeden abend dort essen und haben uns durch die komplette Speisekatte gefuttert. Echt sehr lecker. Und mit unserer Lieblingsbedienung Silvia haben wir auch sämtliche Sonderwünsche der Kinder bekommen.
    Für uns als Familie war dieser Ort ein Traum, da es unglaublich ruhig und gemütlich war. Es gibt sehr viele Projekte für Kinder ganz in der Nähe. Wir waren nie länger als 20 Minuten mit dem Auto unterwegs.
    Einen kleinen Nachteil gibt es allerdings. Pfingsten war heuer Ende Mai - also sehr früh - und einige Aktionen hatten einfach noch nicht geöffnet. Seilbahnen fast garkeine. Saalbach - etwa ne viertel Stunde entfernt - war eine Geisterstadt. Alle Hotels und Läden geschlossen, keine Seilbahn geöffnet nix. War sehr faszinierend. Uns hat das aber nichts ausgemacht. Im Gegenteil: uns hat das sogar gefallen.
    Wer mehr Aktion sucht, sollte um diese Zeit besser nach Zell am See fahren. Das ist nicht ganz so ausgestorben.”
