    “Jard-Sur-Meer ist ein schöner Badeort, insb. die Bucht 'La Mine'. Strand und Wellen sind phantastisch, ausreichend Schatten-Parkplätze für Auto und Fahrrad sind vorhanden. Auch in unmittelbaren Umfeld (bis 20 km) gibt es tolle Strandalternativen.
    Lebensmittel und Dinge für den täglichen Bedarf gibt es eigentlich nur im großen Supermarkt 'Super U'. 2 Boulangerien (Bäcker), Banken und Obsthandel sind im Stadtzentrum angesiedelt.
    Gastronomie findet man hauptsächlich am Hafen; sehr gut frequentiert. Dort findet auch jeden Abend Programm statt. Sehenswürdigkeiten gibt es eher wenige; hierfür bieten sich Ausflüge in die Umgebung statt (z.B. La Rochelle). Jeden Montag findet ein großer Markt im Ortszentrum statt, der sehr gut besucht ist.”
