    “Die Gegend rund um das Haus ist wunderschön, aber relativ verlassen. Ein Auto ist absolut Pflicht und unabdingbar. In Galleno gibt es relativ wenig Möglichkeiten um einzukaufen. Etwa 8 Km entfernt (12 Min.) gibt es einen grossen Coop und da kann alles eingekauft werden, was man in den Ferien benötigt.
    Die Städte Lucca (ca. 20 Min.), Pisa und Florenz (je ca. 45 Min.) wie auch Siena (ca. 90 Min.) sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Restaurants gibt es in Gehdistanz aber auch nicht.
    Erwähnenswert ist noch die Strasse zum Haus. Der rund 400 Meter lange Feldweg ist nicht ganz unproblematisch. Die beiden Fahrspuren sind schon relativ "ausgewaschen" und in der Mitte hat es einen Grünstreifen. Unser Auto (Ford Galaxy, aktuelles Modell) ist ja nun nicht gerade niedrig, doch der Unterboden bzw. der Auspuff streifte reaktiv heftig auf dem Mittelstreifen. Ausweichen ist nicht möglich, da auf der einen Seite der Wald ist und auf der anderen ein Graben. Wer also einen eher tiefes Fahrzeug mit geringer Höhe hat, bekommt definitiv ein Problem mit der Zufahrt zum Haus.”
