    “Güime zelf heeft een supermarktje maar beter is het afdalen richting Arrecife, daar heb je de Mercadona, Hyperdino etc. Vanuit Güime ben je heel snel in welk dorp/stad je ook maar wilt zijn. Daar zijn heel veel mogelijkheden om lekker te eten en/of uit te gaan. Wij hebben veel gewandeld maar zijn ook naar het strand geweest.”

    “Vom Wohnort Güime haben wir nicht viel gesehen. Er lag für uns aber günstig zentral für Ausflüge sowohl in den Norden als auch den Süden. Eingekauft haben wir vorzugsweise in Playa Honda im Einkaufszentrum "Deiland". Zum Essen waren wir mehrmals (war eine Empfehlung des Vermieters) im Restaurant "Emmax" am Strand von Playa Honda, das wir uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen können (2-mal super Fisch, aber mittags auch mal kleinere Gerichte). Daneben waren wir vorzugsweise auch in der Altstadt von Puerto del Carmen (in Hafennähe) zum Essen bzw. im Einkaufszentrum "Biosfera). Praktisch ist, dass man in der Tiefgarage des Einkaufszentrums kostenlos parken kann und dann auch gleich nahe am Hafen ist. Oder man parkt weiter die Straße runter direkt am Hafen (zumindest abends auch kostenlos; tagsüber waren wir nicht da).”

    “Güime ist ein reines Wohngebiet. Es gibt im Ort einen gut sortierten Supermarkt. Alles andere kann man in dem nahe gelegenen Playa Honda oder in der Hauptstadt Arrezife (10 min. Autofahrt) besorgen. Somit ist ein Mietwagen nicht zuletzt Voraussetzung, um an die teilweise etwas abseits gelegenen aber wunderschönen Strände bzw. Sehenswürdigkeiten zu gelangen. Lanzarote selbst bietet ungemein viel an landschaftlichen und baulichen Attraktionen. Allein die Bauten und Anlagen von dem Künstler und Architekt Cesar Manrique zu besuchen sind ein Muss für jeden Besucher dieser Insel.
    Für Kinder ist der Ort Güime selbst eher ungeeignet.”
