    “Wunderbar zum Wandern (teilweise anspruchsvolle Wege), Fjord kann mit dem Boot befahren werden, Schweinswale sind hier zu sehen, kleiner netter Ort mit Supermarkt, einem Café und jeder Menge Büchern (Bücherdorf Fjaerland), nicht weit entfernt befindet sich ein sehr interessantes Gletschermuseum, ca 1,5 h sind es bis zur Stabkirche Urnes, ca. 2,5 h bis zum Wikingerdorf Gudvangen sowie zum Naeroyfjord”

    “Ganz in der nähe(cä. 2 km) kleiner Einkaufsladen wo man so ziemlich alles findet. Sehenswert ist in der nähe (ca.3 km) das tolle Gletscher-Museum und natürlich live die Gletscherzungen bei ca. 8km Entfernung. Tolle Wanderwege für Jung und alt an urige Almen mit viele Tiere die sich teilweise auch streicheln lassen (Kühe, Schafe, Ziegen...)”

Das Dorf selbst hat vielleicht nicht viel zu bieten für "Partylöwen", aber interessant als das erste Bücherdorf in Skandinavien. Im " Besucher-Zentrum" eine sehr hilfsbereite und kompetente Frau. Die (unter anderen) auch deutsch spricht. Ein interessantes Gletschermuseum. Im Dorf gibt es einen kleinen Tante Emma-Laden. Der Ort ist geeignet für Naturliebhaber.”
