“In de directe omgeving (op minder dan 2 km) is er de pingo doce (groot warenhuis), te voet is het ongeveer 15 min stappen. Daar is alles te vinden, algemene voeding, vlees, textiel, huishoudgerief enz... in de hoofdstraat zijn er ook verschillende bakkers, beenhouwers. De zee ligt op 12 km, er is een heel mooi strand in Fouradouri, met aangenamen restauranten en een mooie dijk. In de directe omgeving zijn er ook een aantal gewone kleine restaurantjes, waar je lekker kunt eten voor weinig geld. Begin augustus waren er de middeleeuwse feesten in Feira 5 min met de auto, wat een aanrader is. Vanuit het huis zit je snel op de autostrades naar Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra.. allemaal dicht bij en de moeite waard. Op zaterdag is er een markt in Ovar en op maandag in Espinho.”
