    “Douarnenez liegt sehr schön, direkt am Meer. Im Ort gibt es alles was man täglich braucht: diverse Supermärkte (teilweise auch sonntags geöffnet), Tankstellen und Restaurants, sowie kleinere Geschäfte. Das Preisniveau bewegt sich im normalen Rahmen. Eine Strandpromenade darf man nicht erwarten, der Hafenbereich ist geprägt durch die alten Thunfisch - und Sardinen Fabriken. Der Yachthafen an der Flussmündung lädt eher zum Flanieren ein. Die wenigen kleinen Stränden zeigen sich nur bei Ebbe. Als Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge in Finistere ist Douarnenez eine gute Wahl.”
