    “Car is essential, but very easy to drive to from the Euro tunnel, sat nav just took us straight there. It is very quiet here but just a few miles away is limoux and many other lovely little french villages. The city carcassonne is only 1/2 hour away. It is a beautiful part of france looking at the Pyrenees and vineyards galore. It is a wine lover paradise with lots of wineries wanting you to try their local produce especially cremant de limoux, the first fizzy wine in the world. Lots of good food establishments especially in axat. Large supermarkets nearby. Owners live on the vineyard but you have your own private area which is massive and they are helpful and always respectful of your privacy.”
