    “Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nur im Nachbarsort vorhanden( fussläufig oder mit Fahrrad zu erreichen). Ansonsten ist ein Fischer im Ort, bei dem man sich seinen frischen Fisch kaufen kann. Weitere Einkäufe sind nur per Auto möglich.Ein Baguetteautomat sowie Gastronomie ist wohl nur in der Hauptsaison vorhanden. Freizeitmöglichkeiten und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind vorhanden; jedoch oft nur per Auto/Fahrrad zu erreichen. Aber wozu braucht man das alles wenn man den Strand und das Meer vor der Tür hat.
    Mehr Natur geht nicht.”

    “Le gîte est très bien situé, quasiment les pieds dans l'eau, à mi chemin entre Granville (île Chausey), Jobourg et St Vaast la Houghe (île de tatihou).
    Sur place, il est possible de faire du char à voile. Dans le village voisin (à St Germain sur Ay, il y a un joli marché estival tous les jeudis et dimanches qu'il est possible d'atteindre à pied par la plage et à travers les dunes. Les grandes surfaces sont à 20 minutes en voiture.”

    “Bretteville-sur-Ay is not for everyone but it was exactly what we wanted for two adults, a 20-year-old and a 12-year-old - quiet, genuine, with enough restaurants in striking distance in Bretteville and nearby towns, a lovely beach and locals who were so friendly to the only Aussies in town. Don't go there if you're after big city lights and late nights out - do go if you want a wonderful getaway in a breathtaking landscape. And I would definitely advise having a car to make the most of Normandy.”
