    “Amarante ist ein sehr hübsches, kleines, ruhiges Städtchen am Tamega-Fluss gelegen. Distanz vom Anwesen nach Amarante ca. 9 km. Dort ist alles vorhanden. Sehr günstige Einkaufmöglichkeiten in den Supermärkten. Für Party-Suchende nicht geeignet. Auch die Sportmöglichkeiten sind eher bescheiden, dafür kann man auf dem eigenen Weingut joggen gehen. Mit Kindern wahrscheinlich nur bedingt geeignet. Sehr nette und freundliche Bewohner. Ausflugsziele nach Porto, Douro-Tal und ein nahe gelegener Naturpark sind nicht weit entfernt.”
