“Das Gebiet zählt zwar zu Rovaniemi, jedoch ist die Stadt selbst knapp 60 km entfernt. Daher kann hier eine Bewertung des Ortes Rovaniemi nicht erfolgen!

Die Umgebung des Ferienhauses ist mit einem Wort zu beschreiben: viel Natur! Typisch nordischer Nadelwald rundherum und der große See Alajärvi direkt am Haus (20 m).

(Winter-)Ausflüge in die Umgebung sind mit Fahrtzeiten zwischen 30-90 min. möglich, z.B. Hundeschlittentouren, Rentier-Farmen, Weihnachtsmanndorf (sehr touristisch mit entsprechender Vermarktung, aber irgendwie doch nett für die Kinder), Museen (u.a. Arktikum, ein Naturkunde-/Wissenschafts-/Anthropologsiches Museum), Zoo/Tierpark, Eishotels, Schneeschuhwandern und Snowmobilfahren.”
