This exclusive holiday villa promises a stay in an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. It is right by the beach and is in a private, Mediterranean garden spanning more than 1000m². The holiday house is at the end of one of the most beautiful beaches, on the mainland in central Dalmatia, in the quiet and charming coastal village of Zaostrog on the Makarska Riviera, halfway between Split and Dubrovnik. The villa is one of the best examples of the modern architecture of the early 1960s in Dalmatia. The house was built by the legendary, post-modern architect Ivo Vitic and was completely renovated n 2014. It is ideal for friends, families or couples who would like to spend a holiday together in a private atmosphere. The villa with a quality interior provides a total of 315m² of living space on two floors for up to ten people, with five bedrooms and two modern bathrooms. The ground floor has two entrances and consists of a hallway, three comfortable bedrooms (two with a sea view) for six people, a modern bathroom and generous stairs leading up to the first floor. The magnificent lounge on the first floor with a big, open fireplace and a dining space measures 50m² and has four glass doors opening onto the big balcony, affording a wonderful view of the Adriatic archipelago. This floor has the master bedroom with a double bed and sea view, a bedroom with two single beds, and a lovely bathroom with a bath. The lounge has an adjoining studio area and a big, fully-equipped, high-tech kitchen with an induction hob, fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, espresso machine, toaster, mixer, juicer and hand mixer. The kitchen has a back door leading out onto several garden terraces, which are also accessible from the front and the side of the villa. Free wireless Internet access and air conditioning are available. The house also has remote-controlled blonds, a quality Sonos stereo system so you can listen to your music collection in every room of the house, and a 50” LCD TV with Internet.

The house is surrounded by terrace gardens on different levels, suitable for dining outdoors and for relaxing. The terraces are surrounded by lavender and oleander bushes, mandarins, citrus fruits, almond and olive trees, as well as Mediterranean herbs such as rosemary, thyme, mint, sage and other plants. There is a separate grill house to the rear with an open fireplace and another private dining space. The whole site is fenced and child-friendly. There is a natural fountain with drinking water from the mountain right next to the site, a minute’s walk away. You access the property through the gate from the pretty coastal path adjoining the private interior courtyard. There is a private garage here for one car, as well as four other parking spaces, free of charge. You can use two bicycles free of charge.

Visitors to Dalmatia often head straight to the islands, but the Makarska Riviera is home to some of the most beautiful stretches of beach in the region. The beach at Zaostrog is an elongated, curved pebbled beach, with a shaded promenade behind it with several cafés, restaurants and icecream counters. Interesting towns such as Split, Makarska, Hvar, Dubrovnik or the Adriatic islands, as well as the best restaurants and a range of activities, are within easy access.
