Cozy log cabin style vacation home in the northern part of central Hesse, located in a quiet weekend settlement. The beautiful half-timbered village center is within walking distance. A wood-burning stove makes the living and dining room the good parlor of your vacation. One terrace faces southwest, another northeast, which allows you to arrange your outdoor stay according to the weather. In addition, in the lovingly landscaped and tree-lined garden, a bench group, an open fireplace and a wooden hut await you, where you can park your bicycles, for example. A few meters from the house begins a well-marked network of hiking trails.
In the northern part of Central Hesse, the Gladenbacher Bergland, which belongs to the foothills of the Rhenish-Westphalian Slate Mountains, numerous natural and cultural features await you. Explore the surrounding mountains on foot or by bicycle. In addition to extensive deciduous forests and numerous streams, abandoned basalt quarries, natural rock formations and magnificent views await you. In Biedenkopf, approx. 15 km north of your temporary home, a medieval townscape, shopping facilities, an adventure pool and the castle with its Hinterland museum attract visitors. In the district of Wallau, a bison enclosure awaits you. Of course, you should also plan a side trip to the traditional university town of Marburg with its numerous attractions.
