This charming holiday home is situated on Marö, a small island with about 40 houses. The holiday home consists of two houses - one main house and one guest house.

The main house features an open-plan kitchen, living room and dining room. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a dishwasher. In the living room, there's a TV, a DVD-player, internet+, and a wood-burning stove. The living room opens onto the spacious terrace where there's plenty of outdoor furniture. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with a bunk bed. In the guest house, there's two single bed and one bunk bed. Altogether, the holiday home sleeps eight people. In the bathroom, there's a WC, a washbasin, and a shower.

There are ferries between the island and Arholma, where there's a grocery store. Check Blidösundsbolagets website for timetables. If you want to try your hand at fishing, there's a boat in the boat house. Depending on the season, you can catch pike, bass, trout, and other fish. You have to pay a deposition on the boat, you pay it to the captain of the taxi boat. On the east side of the island, you will find a wonderful little sandy beach, and on the south side there's a barbecue area. On the west side of the island, you will find the berth. There's a communal sauna on the island, about 200 metres from your holiday home.

If you want to visit the mainland, you can take the boat to Södersundaviken (this is also where you will park your car when you arrive). There's a bus to the city of Stockholm and to Norrtälje. Stockholm is well known for it's beauty and it's historical sites. Be sure to visit Drottningholms castle, the summer home of the royal family! It's is located next to the exotic castle Kina Slott and the delightful castle garden. In and around the city you will find plenty of things to do and see. Children will enjoy the amusement park, Gröna Lund.

    “Insel Marö, wo das Ferienhaus liegt, ist wunderschön. Mehrere schöne Strände in etwa 300 Meter Entfernung. "75 Meter zum Meer" steht in der Beschreibung. Aussage irreführend, da Zugang zum Meer dabei wegen angrenzendem Privatgrundstück nicht möglich.
    Ab dem 21. August ist das Übersetzen zur Insel nur mit teurem Taxiboot (5 Minuten! für 85 Euro einfache Fahrt) möglich. Information von Atraveo weisen nicht darauf hin, dass Fähren ab 21. August nicht mehr fahren. Für 800SEK angemietetes Motorboot ließ sich von uns nicht starten. Wir saßen auf der Insel fest. Sehr erholsam!
    Herrlicher Blick auf vorbeifahrende Fähren und Passagierschiffe. Viele schöne Aussichtspunkte auf der Insel.
    Hübsche Sauna mit herrlichem Blick auf die Ostsee zum selber Anheizen in etwa 300 Meter Entfernung vom Ferienhaus.
    Ausstattung im Ferienhaus hervorragend, viele schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten und Spielemöglichkeiten im großen Garten. Das Bett im Doppelzimmer des Haupthauses quietschte bei jeder Bewegung laut, Matratze war durchgelegen. Da wir nur das Haupthaus nutzten, können wir keine Aussage über das Nebenhaus machen.
    Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt, doch waren wir nicht hundertprozentig mit der Sauberkeit im Ferienhaus zufrieden. Nach unserer Einschätzung wurde keine fachgerechte Endreinigung durchgeführt.
