Are you looking for lovely mountains walks, exciting lake fishing and plenty of excursions around Lofoten? Then this holiday cottage is a great choice. The house sits on an open, small hill on the north side of the island Vestvågøy. The area is calm and secluded with a big outdoors, perfect for children to run wild and play. The bare mountains are great for family hikes. At the top you will have a magnificent view of the Lofoten islands and the mainland in the distance. From the house and the terrace, you have a view of the lake and the island Gimsøy further beyond. The house has a big and charming living room. In the lake below the cottage you can fish from land or from the 16 ft rowing boat included in the rent. The area has several lakes rich with fish. If you wish to fish in the sea, boats are available for rent in Valberg nearby. The house is a good starting point for day excursions by car around Lofoten. On Gimsøya you will find a golf course, idyllic beaches and the mountain Hove with an impressive view. Visit the Viking Museum in Borg or the fishing village in Eggum. A cot and high chair can be borrowed.

    “Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, der Wohnraum ist großzügig, die Schlafräume sind klein. Sehr netter Kontakt zu den Vermietern, die in der Nähe wohnen, und auf "Sonderwünsche" sehr freundlich eingehen (wir sind, da wir Samstagabend fast ohne Essen angereist sind, mit Lebensmitteln fürs Frühstück ausgestattet worden, und einen zweiten Wäscheständer für unsere Berge nach einer Woche im Zelt haben wir auch bekommen). Für die Kinder war dort ausreichend Platz zum Spielen, ein bisschen Spielzeug war auch vorhanden, und zahlreiche Bücher (die meisten in Norwegisch, aber auch etwas auf Englisch). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.”
