Stylish holiday villa with a garden, terrace, playground and its own pool, in a quiet location not far from Pula

This detached holiday villa with a garden and its own pool is in a quiet location in Marčana, which is only about a ten-minute drive from the airport and fifteen minutes by car from the centre of the well-known tourist town of Pula. The private property is 100 metres from the main road.

The light holiday house has a colourful interior. Its 130m² provide all the necessary modern comforts and conveniences, with a functional design for five people. It has two bedrooms with a harmonious colour design, with a double bed in the first and a double and a single bed in the second. There is a cupboard between the two bedrooms. One of the two bathrooms has a shower, WC and washing machine. The second bathroom has a bath with massage jets, a double washbasin with storage space, and a WC and bidet. The spacious, air conditioned living room gets plenty of light through the large windows. It consists of a sitting area with a sofa landscape in front of the TV, a modern dining area with a glass table, and an open kitchen, fully-equipped with all modern appliances. Wireless Internet access is available.

Right in front of the living room there is an adjoining terrace with comfortable wicker furniture. An awning provides shade if required. Right in front of it there is the 6 x 4m private pool. There are deckchairs on the lawn next to the pool. On the other side of the garden there is a small playground for children. There is also a small annex with a fireplace, which can be used for grill parties in winter. In summer there is a games room here, with darts. You can use the brick-built grill outside for grilling.

The property consists of two sites: one that the villa for holiday guests stands on and a second one that the owner of the house lives on. Both sites have separate entrances, so you can enjoy absolute privacy, whilst the owner is available to assist with any queries.

From 2020 there will be a whirlpool in the garden 1.6 x 2.2 m and a new room only for games, a room for billiards, football and darts.

In the area on the other side of the main road, a ten-minute walk away, there is the centre of the locality with small shops, a market, grocery shops, a post office and ATM machine. Internet access is available in the local bar. It is just a five-minute drive to the very good restaurants Luna or Vesna, whose owners make delicious Istrian cheese. As it is a ten-minute drive to the nearest motorway exit, it is easy to explore the Istrian peninsula from the villa. It is worth seeing the old town centre of Pula or Brijuni National Park. It is about a fifteen-minute drive to the nearest beach at Duga Uvala. The beautiful beaches at Pula also invite you to swim and sunbathe. Many festivals are held in the area in the summer months of July and August.

    “Top Positiv: Ein tolles Haus mit allem was man braucht um entspannt Urlaub zu machen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, wenn man auf bekannte Produkte nicht verzichten möchte gibt es einen Marktkauf und Spar Markt in der Nähe. Die Vermieter sind wirklich nett, man wird sehr herzlich begrüßt und bei Fragen sind sie jederzeit da. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder und können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Negativ: Die Matratzen sind etwas weich, aber das ist Empfindenssache und nicht wirklich ein Kritikpunkt.”

    “Wir waren im September 2017 in diesem Ferienhaus. Anfangs waren wir total happy von Aussen war alles super, doch nach und nach mussten wir feststellen dass im Haus vor unserer Ankunft nicht ordnungsgemäß, wenn überhaupt geputzt wurde. Dies teilten wir dem Vermieter mit und er musste selber zugeben, dass es nicht sauber war er hat dann das gröbste geputzt! Wir waren sehr enttäuscht, denn Sauberkeit um diesen Preis hätten wir uns schon erwartet. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen!”

    “We are really open to any communication. The house is a self-catering and there's no cleaning provided during the stay of the guests. Unfortunately, miss Melanie expected we clean the house every day and she has admitted that she has read the comment on the house from guests before them, so we can only conclude that they deliberately wanted to degrade our accommodation. We really like to see those pictures of a dirty house if there are any.”

    “Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr ruhig, mal abgesehen von den Hunden in der Nachbarschaft, welche die halbe Nacht bellen. Leider ist das Haus teilweise sehr abgewohnt, die Sitzmöbel (Sofa/Sessel) sind eingerissen und wurden lediglich mit Fleecedecken abgedeckt. Die Sauberkeit war auch nicht so wie wir es erwartet haben, egal welchen Zustand das Objekt aufweist, Sauberkeit muss vorherrschen. Die Klimaanlage war ok und ausreichend. Der Garten und dazugehörige Pool sind ausreichend. Der Spielplatz kann in dem maroden Zustand nicht bespielt werden und die Reinigung des Pools war auch mittelmäßig - sollte jeden Morgen durch den Vermieter erfolgen, dies war leider nicht immer der Fall. Schade! Wir sind große Kroatien Fans und bereisen das Land jährlich. Fazit: das Haus ist in diesem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht weiter empfehlen.”

    “We strive to meet all our guest's needs and constantly try to improve our amenities and the quality of stay.
    The guests had no complaints or need for assistance during they stay the whole week and used and enjoyed the house without saying all these things. If they said anything on the day of arrival, we could avoid the guest's disappointment.
    The reviews of the past guests differ from this one a lot. We can only conclude that communication is essential on-site so we can fix or replace damaged items as soon as possible on mutual satisfaction.

    The pool IS cleaned EVERY morning, sometimes before 6 AM so we do not disturb our guest's privacy. It is an open pool and sometimes leaves and dust falls in it while windy weather during the morning and day. Also, guests have access to a cleaning net and can serve themselves or can contact us for assistance at any time.
    The sofa got damaged during this Summer season and therefore covered. The new sofa was ordered as soon as we saw the damage.
    Since it is custom made and it has to be ordered in advance, it needs few more days to arrive.
    The swing had damage which we didn't see before guests arrived, and we fixed it in 30 minutes.
    The house is on the edge of the village, people in the village have dogs and we cannot stop dogs from barking. We suggest closing the south bedroom window during the night.

    The only real issue for the guests here is the price. The price is based on renting the whole property, regarding the position and amenities for 5 people. Taking into consideration that they rented the house in full Summer season when demand is high, we charge concurrent prices related to other properties in the area.”
