Mountain house with a veranda with a view of the lake, situated in the mountains on the northern shore of Lake Como

The holiday house is situated at 900 metres above sea level in Argino, part of Vercana, a picturesque locality on the northern shore of Lake Como. It is a typical mountain house with a view of the lake and the surrounding mountains, from Bellaggio to the Piana di Sondrio.

The house on two floors was renovated in 2003. The lower floor has a rustically furnished living room-kitchen with a rustic and very well-equipped kitchen unit made of wood, along with a sofa, a large solid wood dining table, a TV and a wood-burning stove, ensuring cosiness. Impressive stone stairs lead to the upper floor with two connected bedrooms and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms is furnished with a double bed (160 x 190cm), the other with a bunk bed (80 x 190cm). The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle. The rooms are cosy, owing to the wood paneling. A cot is available on request. The house has heating, but air conditioning is not necessary owing to the location in the mountains. There is no Internet connection.

The centrepiece of the house is the veranda with a wonderful view of the lake. It is furnished with a table and chairs for dining outdoors or ending the evening with a glass of fine wine. The barbecue enables grill evenings. Cars can be parked on the public car park 200 metres away.

Pets are allowed. You need your own car to get to the house. Guests should also bring clothing suitable for the mountain climate.

The location of the house is ideal for going on trips into the surrounding nature. You can go on walks or cycle tours, or go surfing or sailing on the lake. A grocery shop, a bank, a post office, restaurants and other services can be found a few kilometres away, in the old town centre of Vercana and Domaso. In Domaso there is also one of the most beautiful beaches by the lake.

    “Beeindruckende Lage mit außergewöhnlich schönem Ausblick bei etwas herausfordernder Erschließung. Daher vielleicht weniger geeignet für tägliche Ausflugstouren per Auto. Die Lage macht Sinn um Auszuspannen und um zu Klettern/Wandern/Radeln. Sehr liebevoll renoviert und eingerichtet. Kleine Abzüge in puncto Sauberkeit. Und wegen wenig Privatsphäre eher für vertraute Paare oder Familien. Sonst absolut keine Schwachstellen. Die meisten notwendigen Gegenstände sind vorhanden. Für sämtliche Probleme oder Fragen kann man die sehr hilfsbereiten und herzlichen Vermieter jederzeit ansprechen. Hilfe kommt promt, gerne und sehr unkompliziert. Italienische Grundkenntnisse wären ratsam. Jeder, der nicht unbedingt ein Luxushotel braucht, ist dort gut aufgehoben. Wir würden es bedenkenlos wieder buchen und können es gerne weiterempfehlen.”
