Nykøbing Sjælland is a beautiful place with nice shops, supermarkets and a pedestrian zone. The fairytale castle of Dragsholm from the 12th century is worth the visit. It houses a ghost and an excellent gourmet restaurant. Visit the port of Rørvig with cosy atmosphere, a fish smokehouse with a restaurant and the ferry to North Zealand. The surrounding is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. Havnebyen is close by and is the only proper fishing harbour of Odsherred. You can buy fresh fish here.
