Comfortable studio with a sauna and a panoramic view
The comfortably, stylishly and charmingly furnished non-smoking studio with its own sauna is on the upper floor, affording a wonderful panoramic view from the Black Forest in the east to Kaiserstuhl in the south, and across the Rhein plain to the Vosges in France to the west.
The stairwell leads to the big hallway (17m², with cloakroom space), and from there to the bathroom (15m², with a sauna) and the very well-equipped kitchen-diner (17m²) with dishwasher, as well as the living room-bedroom (30m²) with a library, desk, sofa, coffee table , armchairs, cupboard and double bed (separate mattresses). There are very good reading lamps, two flatscreen TVs (one with a DVD player and USB port), and a radio. The hallway, bathroom and kitchen are tiled. The studio has under-floor heating. The kitchen and living room-bedroom have external roller blinds. Wi-Fi and telephone calls within Germany are free of charge.
Travel guides, hiking and cycling maps and a good stock of brochures are available. There is a lockable garage for bicycles. Free wireless Internet access and telephoning within Germany are available. A washing machine and dryer can be used for stays of at least six days.

There are lovely quarry ponds in the area, as well as cycling and hiking trails. It is just a five-minute walk to a supermarket, tennis courts and a heated terraced pool. The Breisgau golf park (18-hole and 9-hole) is about three kilometres away and the famous Europapark Rust of the Taubergießen nature reserve (canoeing and guided boat tours) are 7km away. It is worth going on day trips in the area to Kaiserstuhl (nice wine villages, a great hiking area and interesting wine-growing terraces), the Black Forest, the Alsace, the Titi and Schluch lakes, the Wutsch gorge etc. There are half-hourly trains to Freiburg, Basel, Offenburg, Karlsruhe or the Black Forest. The studio has been awarded three stars by the German Tourism Association.
