Renovated holiday apartment with a veranda and sea view of the island of Carloforte

This holiday apartment is located in an upmarket residential area only 400 metres away from the historic town centre of the Calasetta village. The sand beach of Sottotorre is also only 50 metres away, spoiling this accommodation with a stunning view of the waterways of S. Antiocco and the island of Carloforte.

An outside staircase enables easy access to the upper storey, where the holiday apartment occupies some 60 square metres. The accommodation offers an open-plan living room with a kitchen unit, a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with a bunk bed and a bathroom. The living room features an air conditioning unit, a sofa bed for one person, television, a long shelf as well as a dining area with a table and six chairs. The built-in kitchen unit includes a fridge, freezer compartment, gas cooker with four hobs, oven as well as plenty of crockery, pots, cups and glasses. A triple-winged French door leads from here to the terrace. The bedroom, also equipped with an air conditioning unit, hosts a double bed, two bedside tables, a mirror and a wardrobe. A balcony is adjoined to the bedroom. The small room comes with a second balcony. This room is furnished with a bunk bed, a bedside table and a wardrobe. The bathroom has a window and is equipped with a sink, a toilet, bidet and a shower unit. In this apartment, an ironing board and iron are at your avail.

The roofed terrace, which you access via the living room, is equipped with a table and four chairs and offers an opportunity to enjoy unforgettable evenings having dinner while enjoying the view of the waterways of S. Antiocco and the island of Carloforte.

Access to the fenced in property is via a small gate leading to the street. This is very quiet, since the house is at the end of the street. Use of the gate is shared with the owner of the property who lives on the ground floor of the house. On the ground floor, there is also a washing machine and an outside shower which you can make use of.

The town of Calasetta, where the holiday arpartment is located, is a typical Ligurian village characteristic for the island of Sardinia. The special history of the village is reflected in its cultural traditions and the diverse cuisine with its Liguria, Piemont and Sardinia influence. In the town centre, which is some 300 metres away from the flat, you will find numerous small craft businesses and shops where you can experience direct contact with the locals and buy quality goods for little money. Calasetta also offers an outstanding choice of restaurants and pizza parlours. The closest is actually only 50 metres from the holiday accommodation. The choice of food leaves nothing to be desired, ranging from takeaways to upmarket restaurants with local cuisine.

Cultural events are hosted in Calasetta, where every summer there is a diverse programme of arts and literature events, as well as in S. Antiocco with its archaeological museum.

Apart from the beach of Sottotorre, which is a linear distance of only 50 metres and in a 250 metres walking distance, there are a further two large sand beaches, which are also in a walkable distance. It is 800 metres to the beach of Saline and to Spiaggia Grande it’s a 2.5 km distance. Furthermore, a short drive by car will take you to about ten more sand beaches. There are also rocky shores, a diver’s and snorkeler’s paradise.

At the marina (600 metres from the hoiday apartment) boats are on offer for rent or you can book a trip with a fishing boat, to visit the island’s bays. You can enjoy fresh fish caught aboard ship or dive into the open sea for a swim.

In Calasetta centre you can rent bicycles, scooters or cars to explore the island on your own. Furthermore, there is a horse stable only a distance of 1.5 km from the apartment, offering you an opportunity to explore the island on the back of a horse.

    “Zona di costruzioni per vacanze molto vicina al centro di Calasetta e con spiagge facilmente raggiungibili anche a piedi.
    Lo stato generale dell'appartamento è buono, anche per quanto riguarda la pulizia, non così per quanto riguarda l'arredo e le dotazioni in generale. Quattro cassetti per quattro adulti e due minori, massimo affollamento ammesso, non sono granché, così come due cuscini e due simil mezzi cuscini per i due letti a castello. Non c'è un appendino in tutto l'appartamento, salvo quattro gancetti nella zona cucina, peraltro sopra i fuochi, e due in plastica (spezzati) incollati alle piastrelle del bagno. Il mobiletto a parete in bagno, in pura plastica, misura ben 58x36x11 cm e comprende un "ampio specchio" di ben 27x28 cm. Penso sia difficile trovare un box doccia più leggero e traballante di quello installato. Insomma, non perché non funzionino proprio, ma bisogna stare sempre attenti, perché si ha quella sgradevole sensazione di potersi ritrovare in ogni momento con qualche pezzo in mano. Peccato, perché basterebbe davvero poco per rendere il soggiorno più rilassante.”

    “I commenti sono sempre benvenuti. Teniamo sempre in conto le esigenze di dotazioni supplementari ( peraltro tutte le dotazioni sono ampiamente descritte e fotagrafate, quindi visibili in precedenza). Voi eravate in due ed avevate a disposizione 2 cuscini normali e 2 cuscini ortopedici ( richiesti dalla clientela francese e tedesca) in modo da poter scegliere. Ci spiace abbiate pensato che fossero "simil mezzi cuscini", forse non li conoscevate. Vogliamo però sottolineare che teniamo sempre in conto qualsiasi esigenza cercandola di soddisfare immediatamente, purchè ci venga espressa! Per quanto riguarda gli arredi del bagno ,che è direttamente esposto ad ovest, sulla costa, abbiamo dovuto usare arredi in plastica e poliuretano. Il metallo ,anche se laccato, si rovina in pochi mesi (siamo sul mare !). Il box doccia infatti ( in plastica e poliuretano e certamente non in vetro che richiederebbe un supporto in metallo ) è stato appena sostituito e funziona perfettamente, come riconoscete. Ci spiace anche per il tono generale del commento, che sembra voler ingigantire particolari onestamente irrilevanti. Ci spiace non siate riusciti ad apprezzare nel giusto modo un appartamento nuovo, pulito, luminosissimo e con una splendida terrazza come il nostro. Non crediamo ve ne siano molti nella zona di pari tipologia e pregio a tal prezzo !”

    “Schöne Lage. Leider riecht es in praktisch allen Schränken eigenartig, so dass man sie nicht benutzen mag. Das Geschirr ist zum Teil knapp bemessen.”

    “Die Lage ist sehr schön, von der großen Terrasse aus fällt der Blick über Palmen zum Meer hin, man kann die Nachbarinsel San Pietro sehen und schaut auf den Torre von Calasetta und schöne Wohnhäuser.

    Die Wohnung war sehr gepflegt, jedoch riechen alle (neuen) Schränke nach 'Muffa', Schimmel, deswegen haben wir sie nicht benutzt. Die Betreuerin meinte, es sei halt so feucht vom Meer her. Ein generelles Problem. Das Schlafsofa im Wohnraum ist fast unbenutzbar, denn der Lattenrost ist gebrochen und mehrmals geflickt. Es ist reichlich Geschirrr vorhanden, doch ein spitzes Küchenmesser und ein Brotmesser fehlen.
    Man sollte wissen, dass die Region reich an Mücken ist wegen der Saline und des Flachwassers. Also abends mit Autan etc. einschmieren und die Schlafräume gut absuchen und zuhalten. Sonst ist die Lage sehr ruhig (Sackgasse) und über einen
    Fussweg erreicht man den kleinen schönen Hausstrand schnell.
