Holiday apartment in a slate stone house in a rural, quiet location at the heart of the natural reserve Cévennes

This holiday flat is located on the first floor of a slate stone house located in the small town of Saint André de Lancize at an elevation of 700 meters. The town is at the heart of the Cévennes and offers ample hiking opportunities in a Mediterranean climate and unique natural setting. The Cévennes is a UNESCO world heritage site.



A stone staircase grants access to the patio and the 65 m² renovated apartment on the first floor. It boats a living room with a sofa and television, a dining area with a large cupboard and a kitchen equipped with a gas stove, a mini oven, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment and a dishwasher. There are a total of three bedrooms. The bedrooms are furnished with a 140 cm double bed, a 140 cm bunk bed and two single 90 cm beds. All bedrooms are furnished with wardrobes. The bathroom has a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The washing machine is located in the cellar in the basement.



The house is in a slightly elevated, south facing position and overlooks the valley. Enjoy this gorgeous view from the private patio, which is furnished with outdoor furniture for eight. An electric awning offers welcome shade during the summer months. The apartment has a garden. Parking for two cars is available. The owner's parents stay on the second floor of the building during the summer months and maintain the property. The town is visited by merchants on a regular basis. The baker visits twice a week; the grocer, fish monger and butcher once a week.



Small shops and a doctor seven kilometres from the house in St Germain de Calberte. Additional shops can be found in Alès, Florac or St Jean du Gard (30 kilometers). You can go swimming either at the nearby pool or in the river Le Gardon. The vicinity offers unspoilt nature and peace and quiet. The apartment is an ideal base for hiking in the Cévennes. We highly recommend the famous GR 70. Alternatively, you can enjoy canoeing in the Gorges du Tar. The entrance to the gorge is only 30 kilometers from the apartment.
