Holiday house with a mountain view, near the lake

The classical Swiss chalet is in Wilen by Lake Sarner in the midst of the Obwalden mountain canton, surrounded by a great mountain panorama. It is very quiet and near the forest. The main road and the motorway to Interlaken are on the other side of the lake.

The house has a kitchen, a bathroom, a living room and three bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other two with double bunk beds, and is therefore suitable for six people. It has a terrace, a garage, and a basement room with a washing machine and dryer. The house is made of solid wood, with insulating double glazing, and aluminium blinds with locks in the living room and the parents’ bedroom. All the other windows have shutters. All the windows have curtains. The living room, hallway and the bedrooms have carpeted floors, while the kitchen and the shower room have synthetic flooring. Apart from the synthetic walls in the kitchen and shower room, all the other interior walls are panelled with pine wood.

The house is heated with night-time electric thermal storage heating, but the storage heater in the living room has supplementary heating that can be switched on independently. All the other rooms have electric radiators regulated by thermostats. The shower room and kitchen have running hot and cold water. The garage and the cellar are in the basement and have frost-protection heating.

Wilen has a mild climate, so the lake reaches temperatures of 25°C in summer. The house receives sunlight all day long. There is a lakeside site nearby shared with the neighbours. Two wild streams flow past near the house. The nearest shops are about 3km away.

    “Das Haus ist einfach und nicht modern, aber sehr praktisch eingerichtet. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Kinderzimmer sind sehr klein, also nur zum Schlafen geeignet, nicht zum Spielen. Das haben unsere Kinder dann im Wohnzimmer und wenn immer möglich draußen gemacht. Das Haus war sehr sauber und auch der Garten äußerst gepflegt. Die Lage ist sehr schön und absolut ruhig. Der gemeinschaftlich genutzte Platz am See ist auch sehr schön, aber für kleine Kinder nicht so geeignet, da es einen Bootsanlegeplatz und eine kleine Treppe in den schon recht tiefen See hat, keinen Strand, der flach abfällt.”

    “La maison est parfaitement situé à quelques pas du lac de Sarnen et dispose d'une plage privée ! L'endroit est calme et les voisins sont très accueillants. Le logement est entièrement meublé et équipé , rien n'est à redire ! C'est parfait !”
