Greppo is a house in a beautiful location on a hill at 450 metres above sea level, near Rotecastello in Umbria, between Todi, Orvieto and Perugia. The house is surrounded by about 20 hectares of land with olive trees and offers a beautiful panoramic view.

The old stone house was carefully restored and three inviting apartments and one annex were created. The annex is a guest house exclusively for one of the apartments. All the apartments have their own heating with methane gas, household appliances, fully-equipped kitchens, bedlinen and hand towels, crockery, cutlery and glasses. The interiors and the furnishings have been selected to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay. The apartments are near each other but are completely independent. They can be rented individually or all together, providing ideal options for larger families or groups.

There is a swimming pool on site for all guests. It measures 14 x 7m and has a maximum depth of 1.80m and a minimum depth of 1m. It is open from June to mid-September, depending on the weather. There is also a SPA, with whirlpool, sauna and hammam, it's open all year round. A large garden is also available.

Rotecastello is a medieval gem with a watchtower. It is easy to get to it and the surrounding hills, valleys and other small medieval villages, away from mass tourism.

For your small daily needs: The nearest center is San Venanzo, which is 1.5km away. There you can find small stores of all kinds, ATM, pharmacy, bar and restaurant/pizzeria and a church. It is also easily reached on foot in a half-hour walk. If, on the contrary, you were looking for big super markets, you will have to take your car and reach Marsciano, which is about 10km away. The farmhouse is ideally located for trekking and cycling, extensive mapping available. Reach in a short time the art centers among the most beautiful of central Italy, Perugia, Todi, Spoleto, Assisi, Montefalco and Bevagna, and many others less known but equally fascinating. We will be happy to offer you all our experience, with discretion, leaving you the taste of discovery. Given the location, to enjoy the places to the fullest, a car is necessary, which you can easily rent at the airport of arrival.

This 60 m² vacation apartment is arranged on two floors. On the ground floor is the living room with armchairs and a sofa for 4 people. There is also a dining table and chairs for up to four people. The kitchen has an open fireplace, refrigerator, stove and oven. On the second floor are two bedrooms, one with a double bed with a covered terrace and one with two single beds. A crib can be added upon request. There is a bathroom with shower and toilet and bidet.

"Casa Greppo'' is a beautiful farmhouse in the hills at 450 m above sea level and is located near San Venanzo, in the more traditional and less known Umbria, between Todi, Orvieto and Perugia.

Located within an active property of 20 hectares, the farm "Podere Greppo", among olive groves, arable land and woods, is placed in a dominant position from which you can enjoy a splendid panorama. In the foreground Rotecastello, a medieval jewel with its watchtower, all around hills, valleys, multicolored cultivated fields and many other small medieval villages absolutely outside the traditional tourist circuits.

We mention, for example, Civitella dei Conti (2.5 km), a very small village on top of a hill that preserves the remains of a fortification, other small and charming villages such as Collelungo (4.5 km), Poggio Aquilone (5 km) that also offers the possibility of a hike along the Fersinone stream, Montecastello di Vibio (10 km), a small jewel, not for nothing permanent summer home of international art stages and home to the Teatro della Concordia, the smallest active public theater in the world!

Nearby you can visit Todi and also the Tiber River Park. Other nature reserves include that of Lake Trasimeno and again on the Colfiorito Plain. You can find many other indications at the offices of the local Pro Loco in San Venanzo or at the site "Monte Peglia and Selva di Meana." The local San Venanzo Volcanological Museum and Park is well worth a visit.

Wanting to look further, you can also reach and visit in the space of a day Tuscany, Arezzo for example is 100km away; or Rome, which can also be reached by train from Orvieto; this also makes Greppo an ideal starting point for visiting the most fascinating centers of central Italy.

To the delight of your children, you can easily visit Città della Domenica, a splendid park equipped for kids that, among other things, also houses a famous reptile house.

The life of the surroundings, observed from the top of the very panoramic position over valleys and small villages, seems to flow with quiet, meditative rhythms but, if you decide to go, to move towards those places, you will soon realize that there is actually a lot of vitality; throughout the year there is a succession and often overlapping of various "activities related to culture, traditions and tourism: meetings of international scope such as, among the best known, the Spoleto Festival, the International Festival of Todi, the Festival of Nations in Città di Castello, Umbria Jazz; folk festivals enlivened by concerts, fairs and dance music where, above all, the varieties of Umbrian cuisine are exalted, with tastings of dishes based on wild boar or game, truffles, cured meats and grilled meats of all kinds, and then performances of Umbrian tradition with historical re-enactments and costumed processions, market exhibitions that periodically fill the historic center of almost every town in the area such as Perugia, Arezzo, Todi, Spoleto.
