“Overall a nice place to stay. The house is an old farm house, but newly renovated. (The kitchen and bathrooms are very modern and have everything you need.) The bed rooms are spaceous and the living room nice. There are TVs in every room as well. It is clean. The floors are VERY cold (we were there in March) and slippers or house-shoes are a must.
The renters are very friendly, but do not speak any English or German, which makes the "check in and out" a bit difficult. They want 400€ deposit when you arrive, you get it back in the end. You also pay for electricity beyond "normal use". This was, however, quite a bit for us. We only heated (electric) the rooms we were in, in the morning and evenings, and otherwise did not use really any electricity (no TV, etc, ) and still paid an additional 60€ at the end.
One note, the house itself is old and the "attached" rooms not renovated. Our au pair has an allergy to mold, and was quite congested while we were there. We did not notice anything, but in case there is a sensitiity to mold, this may not be the place to stay.
Location: good place if you want to do a lot of sight seeing from Rouen to Fecamp to Honfleur. The house is "in the middle of nowhere" and very difficult to find (especially as the address Inter-chalet provided was incorrect. The correct house number is 1083!) You enter the street from Rue de Ecole, then turn right at the first possibility then follow the street again to the right and down for quite a long distance (you are on more like a path between fields than a street.) Then at the horse stables, take a sharp left, follow it to the end, before the path curves to the right.”
