"Große Tofthof" – thatched wooden house on a farm with a sauna



The house provides 120m² of living space. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is suitable for ix people. The ground floor is also suitable for the disabled. The kitchen is modern and fully-equipped. The cosy living room features a wood-burning stove. A highchair and junior bed are available. The living room and bathroom on the ground floor are fitted with underfloor heating. The furniture is made of wood.



There is a little fenced garden and it is situated on the site of a fully operational farm, by a terp. There are many animals on the farm, such as cattle, sheep, poultry, a well-behaved dog, ponies and horses. A couple of areas are also used for farming. The farm offers riding and riding instruction for children.

    “Wir waren von 23.09. - 7.10.2017 zu Gast auf dem großen Tofthof. Als wir ankamen mussten wir zuerst den Staubsauger entleeren, um tote Fliegen von den Fensterbänken und Spinnweben von den Decken zu entfernen. Außerdem fanden wir im Badezimmer Zahnputzbecher mit angetrockneten Zahnpastaresten vor.Was wir auch als sehr unangenehm fanden war die Tatsache, dass es keine vernünftig befestigten Parkmöglichkeiten gibt und der Weg zum Haus unbeleuchtet ist. Des Weiteren sollte man in der heutigen Zeit darauf aufmerksam machen, dass es keine Internetverbindung gibt und meistens auch telefonieren mit dem Handy nicht möglich ist. Glücklicherweise ist unsere Enkelin noch zu klein um draußen zu spielen, da der Zustand des
    Sandkastens sowie auch der Rest des Außeninventares absolut unhygienisch waren. Positiv war die Größe des Hauses sowie die vorhandene Ausstattung. Diese war nicht verwohnt und die Matratzen waren auch sehr gut.”

    “Wir weisen unsere Gäste schon bei Ankunft darauf hin, sich bei uns zu melden falls etwas nicht in Ordnung ist. Die Internetverbindung in Westerhever ist generell schlecht, Wetter- und von der Auslastung abhängig. Viele Gäste nutzen mobiles Internet.”

    “Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und geräumig, die Betten waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Vorhandensein von zwei Badezimmern und einer Waschmaschine war für uns von Vorteil. Die Lage ist ab vom Verkehr und somit ideal für Kinder. Der Garten ist eingezäunt und mit einem kleinen Sandkasten ausgestattet. Zu erwähnen ist auch ein Brötchenservice, den wir gerne genutzt haben.

    Eine Führung durch die historischen Stallungen mit ausführlichen Erklärungen durch den Hofbesitzer war hoch interessant und nicht alltäglich. Die verschiedenen Tiere auf dem Hof waren für unseren Enkel immer von Interesse. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können den Tofthof für Erholungssuchende sehr empfehlen.”
