South of Orosei, beyond the enterprising and prosperous town of Dorgali famous for its leather, ceramics and filigree jewellery, lies the village of Cala Gonone. Until recent times, this independent community of seafaring folk was only accessible by boat or on foot by a perilous path hewn out of the cliff-side. However, thanks to the marvels of modern engineering, Cala Gonone can now be reached via a road tunnel that cuts straight through the mountainside to reveal a splendid panoramic view of the Golf of Orosei.
From the tunnel's exit, a steep and winding road leads down through wooded hillsides, (still inhabited by wild boar) until you reach the village centre with its tree-lined promenade, restaurants, shops, fine sandy beaches and colourful fishing harbour. News: first Aquarium of Sardinia from 2010!
Someone is coming here mainly for rock climbing but it's for all kind of holiday - boat trips, bikers mekka, mountain escursions and diving. Great holiday in nice and clean accommodations, beaches are fantastic all the coast of Cala Gonone

Cala Gonone is an idyllic village, a quiet resort, situated on the central east coast of Sardinia. Here you can find impressive lonely beaches, interesting diving grounds, big memorable caves and an impressive hinterland. The area is rich in history and natural diversity.
In summer Cala Gonone is a beach lover’s paradise. At other times Cala Gonone is a good base for further exploration of the island: trekking, boat trips, diving, mountain excursions and tasting typical Sardinian cuisine – are all possible. Last but not least it is a rock climbers Mecca and a base for bikers.
Apartments Mula-La Baia s situated in a residential part of Cala Gonone. They are modern and well cared for with gas heater or fireside, and only 2-3 min walk from the beach.

Apartment n° 2 Topazio : 6-7 persons, 70m², second floor, bathroom with shower, 2 bedrooms (2 and 3 beds), big living room with 2 beds separated by cupboard, kitchen and 2 terraces – one with views of the sea and one of the mountains, sat-TV.
Apartment C2 Topazio ist für 6-7 Personen ausgestattet und hat ein sehr geräumiges Wohnzimmer mit Küchenzeile - Esstisch und eine bequeme Doppelbettcouch die durch eine Schrankwand einen separaten Schlafbereich ergibt. Ein Doppelbettschlafzimmer und ein weiteres Schlafzimmer mit einem Hochbett ergänzen die grosszügige Wohnung. Zwei groβe Balkons bzw. Verandas bieten sowohl eine herrlichen Ausblick auf das Meer als auch hin zur Berglandschaft.
Unsere Wohnungen sind einfach, modern und gepflegt eingerichtet, mit Heizofen oder Kamin und bieten zu jeder Jahreszeit einen angenehmen und unbeschwerten Urlaub in Sardinien-Cala Gonone.
Cala Gonone ist wie gesagt ein reizvoller malerischer Badeort zentral an der Ostküste Sardiniens gelegen. Hier gibt es idyllische Strände, interessante Tauchgründe, atemberaubende Tropfsteinhöhlen und ein vorgeschichtlich reiches und geografisch beeindruckendes Hinterland. Cala Gonone – in der Sommerzeit zum Badeurlaub ideal, in der Vor- und Nachsaison ein Wanderparadies und in den letzten Jahren der Geheimtipp für Free-climber aus aller Welt – ist außerdem der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Motorradfreunde. Diving ist ebenfalls angesagt mit besonders interessanten Tauchgründen.
