Fethiye is a district located in the Muğla province in the southwest of Turkey. Karagedik is a region located north of Fethiye. It is famous for its natural beauty, historical texture, and blue flag beaches. Here, the trio of sea, sun, and nature come together for a fantastic holiday.


Karagedik is known as a quiet and peaceful area and is a frequently visited place by tourists. There are many rental villas, holiday homes, and hotel options in the region. Karagedik is ideal for those who want to have a comfortable holiday as it is away from the lively center of Fethiye.


One of the most popular tourist attractions in the region is Ölüdeniz, which is only 10-15 minutes away. Here, you can enjoy a wonderful beach experience with its turquoise sea and magnificent view of the Beydağları Mountains. Paragliding activity, which is held at the foot of Mount Babadağ nearby, is also quite popular.

  • If you are coming from abroad, the nearest airport is Dalaman Airport and you can reach Fethiye with approximately 1 hour journey from there.
  • If you want to go to Fethiye by road, there are bus services from many cities in Turkey. Additionally, if you are traveling by private vehicle, you can reach Fethiye via the D400 highway, one of Turkey's main roads.
  • It is also possible to reach Fethiye by sea. Especially in the summer months, many cruise companies visit Fethiye.
