L'appartamento si trova a pochi metri dalla spiaggia di Cavoli che e' una delle spiagge classiche, fra le più conosciute dell'isola, che unisce oltre 300 metri di arco sabbioso alla presenza di grandi scogli, in una posizione riparata aperta solo alle correnti di sud-ovest, che consente la balneazione anche fuori stagione. L'acqua è particolarmente trasparente.
Il suo nome deriva da "cavili", ossia dai blocchi di granito già squadrati che venivano un tempo estratti dalle cave della zona.
Di comodo accesso, il fondo è costituito da sabbia granitica bianca a grana grossa e in alcuni punti da scogli levigati.
