In the area around the Twistesee you can also enjoy cycling and hiking. Visit the baroque town of Bad Arolsen with numerous stores, museums, cafes and restaurants. In the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park you can take part in guided hikes or visit the animals in the wild animal park. In winter you have with Willingen a fantastic ski area within easy reach.
