Important Information for our Guests at Villa AVA We warmly welcome you in our Villa AVA. We invested a lot of time, energy and good vibes to make the house what it is now. So we gently ask you to enjoy your stay and take care of our house. There are a few important things you need to know about your stay in Mykonos: Water scarcity: the island has only limited water supply through winter rain. The last two winters were bad in that sense, so there is not much water of very good quality (that is what we buy) available. So please consider and use water carefully. Toilet use: please do not throw papers in the toilet. Use the trashcan instead, they will be emptied daily. Thank you. Internet: we have full wifi coverage inside & outside and of course we buy the best available internet speed and bandwidth available.Outdoor music: please be aware that Villa Ava is in a residential area. No outdoor music is allowed after 10.00pm. www.villa-ava.gr 1 Smart TVs: we only use the ‚smart‘ part of our TVs (ie, Netflix, YouTube), if at all. There is no cable TV available. Smoking: smoking is prohibited inside all rooms, there are plenty of ashtrays in outdoor areas Animals: animals are not to be taken inside the house. There is a small turtle that lives in our garden, every now and then you will see him or her. And there are many more cats straying through the property. Do not touch or feed them, they are typically not medically treated and will be very persistent once they get food... Visitors:it is not allowed to bring guests to the house without our prior consent. This is mainly a matter of liability. Valuables / Safe box: please make sure that you always lock your valuables in the safe box in your room. Mosquitos: of course there are Mosquitos on the island as well. Make sure that you have your windows, doors and/or mosquito nets closed especially at dusk and dawn. Also put mosquito repellent in the evening, especially when there is no or little wind. Laundry & Shuttle Service: is available on request,Important Safety Rules for our Pool Enjoying the pool is the purpose, but your safety has priority. Our pool is up to 3.5m deep and suitable for safe swimmers only. Please do not overestimate your abilities.Do not run alongside the swimming pool, but walk instead.Look before you leapNo rough play, no pushing.Do not dive without proper supervision by an experienced swimmer or instructor.Please do not use glas for drinks at the pool area, ask the staff for special cups. Broken glas inside the pool might force us to empty and refill the pool on your cost (240m3 cost 1’800 euro)PARENTS WITH CHILDREN: children are especially endangered near the water; they have to be supervised by appropriate attendants permanently. Children are in danger of drowning even in shallow water and must be supervised there too. Please be aware that swimming aids cannot provide perfect safetyAlways make sure that children are not alone at the pool areaNever let children swim without supervision, even for amomentDo not allow children to dive from the shallow end nor from any structures (wall, pergola)If you go to the pool with a toddler, make sure he/she is wearing waterproof swimming diapers
