The Tarn valley begins in Saint-Juéry

5 minutes from Albi, a place of passage between the Albigeois and the Carmausin, Saint-Juéry offers the advantages of a city in the countryside.

A small town with a rich industrial past, Saint-Juéry counted up to 3,800 workers in the Saut du Tarn steelworks during the First World War.
Since the site closed in 1983, its memory is now preserved at the Saut du Tarn museum. Created in 1995 by former workers of the metallurgical factory, the museum is above all a place of discovery of an industrial epic in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries...

The Saut du Tarn is also the beginning of the Tarn valley. Leaving Albi behind you, you will discover a multitude of villages and castles along the river, between meanders and plateaus: Ambialet, Trèsbas, Brousse... You can swim in the summer at the Avalats, in the Tarn, atmosphere guinguette. And of course, you are at the gates of Albi, its Episcopal City listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site
