Between the Montagne Noire and the Pays Cathare, in the heart of the Abbey of Villelongue where you will contemplate its 800 years of history, you will stay in the gîte La Maison d'Albert. During your stay, the gardens of the abbey are freely accessible to you. Heritage lovers will appreciate the architecture and the long history of the abbey, while meditation enthusiasts will find peace and serenity in the garden surrounded by the flora and fauna of the region. Access to the gîte is private and independent and in complete privacy, you will have a large private terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue for your meals. A private parking space is available inside the gîte. Its location is ideal as you will be less than half an hour's drive from the main attractions of the department: Cité de Carcassonne, Abbaye de St-Papoul, the Cathar castles of Saissac, the book village of Montolieu or the famous Cascade d'Alzeau. There are many walks around the gîte. The Vernassonne stream, which runs right by the Abbey, is an ideal place to recharge your batteries, but also to fish in some places.

The gîte comprises on the ground floor a living room with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table and a lounge with a sofa and armchairs in front of the TV and the fireplace. On the first floor, a bedroom with a double bed. A second bedroom with two 90cm beds that can be joined together. An independent shower room with a shower. An independent WC. WIFI connection. Baby equipment on request. All services are included except for the end of stay cleaning which costs 50€.
