WINTER SEASON:

The ski bus to Nassfeld stops 200 m from the house, and with your own car you can reach Carinthia's largest skiing area in 25 minutes. The Gerlitzen Alpe valley station and the Italian skiing experience in Tarvisio can both be reached in 30 minutes by car.
In our house skiing area, the three-country skiing area Arnoldstein, you can be on your skis in 15 minutes. Access to our cross-country skiing trail in Wertschach is a 5-minute walk from the house.
The thermal spa in Villach gives the perfect wellness experience after a beautiful day of skiing 30 minutes by car from your accommodation. Ice diving on the eastern shore of Lake Weissensee is without question also a sporting attraction and challenge.

SUMMER SEASON:

From our local mountain, the Oisternig, you have a beautiful view of the Gail and Gitsch valleys and on the other side to Italy and Slovenia. Just one of the many possibilities for hiking or mountain biking.
The many lakes in the immediate vicinity offer further wonderful excursion destinations. Within an hour you are at the Soca River in Slovenia, known as one of the best whitewater rafting and canoeing areas in Europe. The lido Pressegger See can be reached in about 15 minutes by car from the house and the outdoor swimming pool of Wertschach is only 400 metres away from us.

The flat house Gailtal is located in Wertschach, in the centre of one of the most beautiful parts of Austria.

We are also happy to accommodate larger groups, as it is possible to combine the flats in the house. This enables us to offer original accommodation in an old Austrian farmhouse for 2 to 20 people.

The Gailtal flat house is located in the immediate vicinity of four ski resorts (Nassfeld, Gerlitzen Alpe, Arnoldstein Dreiländereck, and the Italian Tarvisio [Monte Lussari), Lake Presseggersee and Lake Weissensee and all the leisure activities the Alps have to offer.

The pleasant weather of the southern Alps together with your flat in our house creates the warm ambience for good relaxation and the basis for a stress-free holiday. Enjoy a sporty, relaxed, pleasant and romantic summer or winter holiday, we are open all year round!

We have tastefully and stylishly renovated one of the oldest farms in the centre of the village of 300 souls. Our three flats offer highly modern and comfortable facilities and are accessible as separate units with individual access from the outside. The large garden to the south of the house is there for all guests, as is the view of the mountains.
