Jasmine Cottage has high ceilings, generous room sizes and is stylishly furnished and decorated with velvet sofas and original art by local artists. It has a fabulous private courtyard with comfortable seating and a huge painted mural.

This beautiful 2 bedroom cottage is less than 15 minutes walk to both the Laines and Brighton Seafront and is right next to Queens Park in the heart of trendy Hanover, where the streets are full of multicoloured houses and the pubs are eccentric and glorious.

As soon as you see the pink gate you'll know you are in for a treat! Jasmine Cottage is in the heart of the sought after district of Hanover. Behind the pink gate is the first of two private courtyards. This first one is walled giving you total privacy. It has a gravel floor and a pink bench to catch the morning.

As you walk up the path to the front door of the cottage, a motion sensor light will guide you in the evening. Coming through your private front door you'll love the colourful tiles and modern finish in the kitchen. You'll find that it's well equipped and newly fitted with everything you need to self cater in comfort. There's smeg appliances, a large fridge freezer, and a washer/dryer so this house if perfect for families as well as groups of friends. We'll pop a bottle of wine and some milk in the fridge to welcome you and you'll find complimentary fair trade tea, coffee and sugar on the kitchen shelf (do let me know if you prefer non-dairy or non-alcoholic drinks). So get yourself a drink because the best is yet to come! You'll be wowed by the large and lovely living room where you'll relax on big velvet sofas. You'll enjoy the grandeur of the huge original fireplace, set off by a fireside rocking chair, and the stylish, quirky design features will keep you smiling! There's an electric stove style heater in the fireplace making cosy evenings as easy as flicking a switch. There's wooden flooring throughout the ground floor and a large handwoven Tunisian wool rug decorates the floor. You'll find a 40" smart TV where you can log into Netflix and fast fibre wifi together with a white desk for those wanting a dedicated workspace. The oval oak dining table easily sits 4-6 but can also be extended if you have friends over. There’s good times to be had with your favourite people in this private and gorgeous room which has the original Edwardian stained glass windows and doors leading out to the private west facing rear courtyard. This beautiful courtyard is the crowning glory of the cottage and is decorated with a huge bespoke mural. There's colouful and generous seating an tables and is great for entertaining.

Upstairs you will find the landing decorated with original prints by local artists. You will then have to choose which of the two bedrooms will be yours and it's going to be a difficult choice because both are gorgeous! Both have double beds with pocket sprung mattresses, large mirrors, wooden sash windows and velvet curtains so it will have to come down to your favourite colours - Will you go for the west facing Garden Room with it's restful colours, triple wardrobe and chest of drawers or will you choose the dramatic Lynx Bedroom which faces south and has a built in wardrobe, shelves and a black and gold dressing table. Whichever large, light-filled room is yours, you are going to love the comfort, the beautiful decor and the peace of this private cottage. Also upstairs, and off the hallway landing, is the bathroom which has a shower fitted over the bath. Towels and cotton bedlinen is supplied and we can supply extra bedlinen for guests using the green sofa which can be turned into a bed.

We welcome families and can provide a baby package comprising a cot with bedding and a high chair for £25. We can arrange babysitting by an experienced, first aid trained, Dbs checked babysitter for £12 per hour (£17.50 after midnight). The sofabed is made up automatically for groups of 5/6 but if you are a group of 4 and would like extra bedding we're happy to provide this and charge £20. Lastly, if you are bringing your pet - no problem. Please let us know on your booking - there's a one off cost of £35 per pet.

The streets ooze cool and trendy in Hanover and everywhere you look you will find art and inspiration. Jasmine Cottage is on West Drive which borders Queens Park, it's just 12 minutes walk to the seafromt. You will feel like a local as you stroll along West Drive to the Starfish and Coffee-one of the best independant cafes in Brighton. Stop of for Brunch then head down Upper and then Lower Rock Gardens to reach Brighton Beach in minutes There are beautiful independent pubs and cafes through the brightly painted streets of Hanover and there's a local farmers market every Saturday at the top of Queens Park which has a lake and is perfect for sunny picnics. There's a children's play area and dogs are welcome in this park so it has a really welcoming family feel.

Come and live in Brighton for a while - even if it’s just a few days, it will be some of your best!

The neighbourhood is Hanover, just behind Kemptown, and the people are lovely - mostly employed in the Arts and Creative industries. There’s on-street parking which is free from 8pm-9am. During the day you will need to pay for parking using the Pay By Phone App which you might like to download before you arrive, it's £1.10 per hour of £6.60 per day which is some of the cheapest parking in the city.

We live nearby and will be on hand to offer help if you would like this during your stay. If you are happy looking after yourselves though we respect your privacy - Brighton is friendly and you are in a great neighbourhood!

Hanover is a cool residential district popular with professionals and young families. It’s famous for its brightly coloured streets and thriving independent pubs (check out The Setting Sun, The Islingwood, The Grays for starters!). Queens Park is exceptionally large and beautiful with a duck pond, children’s play area and lots of open spaces. There’s a Sussex farmers market here every Saturday and a delicious independent cafe called Starfish and Coffee where you can book a table for a fabulous Brighton Brunch. It’s a perfect spot for families and friends to enjoy getting together.

It’s less than 15 minutes walk to the Laines, city centre and beach but there are plenty of buses if you prefer (Brighton buses have an app where you can plan your journey) and if you want to take a taxi or Uber it’s about £5.

There’s visitors parking on West Drive and Albion Hill for £1 per hour or £6.50 per day making this one of the cheapest places to park in central Brighton.

We welcome guests travelling with friends but please note that there is no smoking inside this house and parties of any kind are not permitted.

Please do not attach anything to the walls or ceilings and keep heated appliances off the floor - wallpaper and carpets are easy to damage and expensive to replace.

Please clean up after yourself and let us know if anything is accidentally damaged or broken.

Whilst we are happy to accept gifts of champagne and truffles, please empty the fridge and cupboards of anything else and take all your belongings with you at the end of your stay. Our Housekeeping team do not have the capacity to store and return belongings left behind.
