There you can also rent bicycles, sea kayaks, fishing nets and handcarts. Aarø's winery also invites you to spend a relaxing evening tasting the locally grown wine or arranging a wine tasting. Nature is also unique, and a large, unspoiled area is set aside as a bird sanctuary where you can take long walks. The ferry Helene docks at Aarø, which gives you a wonderful ride over 12 km of fjord to Haderslev. Haderslev is a charming old town with specialty stores, cultural events and museums.
