Terra Lucis Mountain Residences - Anima Villa

The west side of Zakynthos is the wild side of the island. Unlike the rest of the island with the endless sandy beaches, here the access to the clear blue waters of the Ionian is from a few, very specific points. One of them, Porto Limnionas, is located in the area we chose to create the Terra Lucis Mountain Residences.In this area in general and in particular near to our accommodation, the tourist development is mild and does not follow the rhythm of the major tourist resorts of the island.Here the visitor can really feel what Ionian Sea and Zakynthos means, listen to the natural sounds, smell the herbs and flowers, feel connected to the vast sea, swim under the sun or the moonlight, touch the blessed fruit of the olive tree or just enjoy the setting sun in the endless blue of the Mediterranean.

Anima Villa is a 92 square meters one bedroom villa with a loft, situated in a 2,75 acres plot of land.This villa features a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a king size bed and a second bedroom on the loft with sea view, accessible by stairs only.Both rooms have a safe box which is bolted in the wardrobe  Second bathroom is on the ground floor next to the living room where there is also a fully equipped kitchen.The loft bedroom does not have an ensuite bathroom. All bathrooms have showers.There are two sofa beds in the living room.Anima Villa can accommodate up to 6 people plus a baby in a baby cot provided by the property. Both living room and dining areas are in the same room, they have access to the outdoor area and can sit to 6 people. There are Smart TVs in the master bedroom, the loft bedroom and the living room as well as individually operated A/Cs  There is a BBQ area with an external kitchen and garden furniture as well as sunbeds, umbrellas and an outdoor shower in the outside area next to the infinity pool.There is enough parking space in the property and two cars can be parked in a shaded place.

When Great Britain ceded Zakynthos and the rest of the Ionian Islands , to the Kingdom of Greece in 1864, it was agreed between the two States that there should be no public land on the islands and that the land should be used by the inhabitants, like it used to be during the Venetian occupation three centuries ago.Using this right, our family started to cultivate wheat and olives, collect resin from the pine forest and also built a lime kiln in this very piece of land that our property is currently situated.The bonds of our ancestors with this area are very strong. The love of the younger generations for the land that nourished our family for many years is also strong.The excellent microclimate of the area, which makes it sunny and quite warm, even in the winter months, combined with its special flora, is the main reason for choosing this location to create an environmentally friendly accommodation ideal for the visitor who seeks contact with nature away from the roar of mass tourism.It is worth noting that an endemic flower called Limonium Zacynthium grows in the area near the sea of Limnionas. This small flower can not be found anywhere else on the planet.

Terra Lucis Mountain Residences is situated just off the traditional village of Agios Leon and only 800 meters from the famous Limnionas Beach, and the Porto Limnionas Tavern one of the most renowned eateries on the whole island, a place visited my practically everyone who wishes to eat traditional Greek food and watch an amazing sunset.Agios Leon village is just 3 km away where you can find a mini market, a meat market, traditional bakeries, a tourist shop, a gas station with an info point and an olive press where you can visit and learn how the locals make their virgin olive oil. Agios Leon also offers traditional and organic products such as wine, olive oil, dairy as well as local handmade ornaments and woven.
