At the house there are several nice terraces with beautiful light. There are good hiking opportunities in the area with peaks that offer spectacular views. In a short drive you can reach the village of Sæbøvik with stores and a bakery. For history buffs, Halsnøy Monastery is worth a visit. The house is also well located for day trips to the fantastic nature along the Hardangerfjord and Åkrafjord.
