Each of the restored houses has a panoramic view, including towards the neighboring island of São Jorge, and type D even has a sea view. A small beach is about 500 meters away, depending on the location of the house; Depending on the location, a natural swimming pool is about one to two kilometers away. The second largest island in the Azores owes its name to the Pico volcano of the same name, which is almost 2,400 meters high. The island is also known for its vineyards, its impressive landscape with lava fields and as a starting point for excursions to watch whales and dolphins.
