You can get active playing boules or billiards. In L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue you will find a variety of good restaurants, but of course you can also take the opportunity to use the fresh, regional products from the market in the kitchen and then eat together on the terrace in a relaxed atmosphere.

Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is also called the Venice of Provence because of the many watercourses and water wheels that characterize the townscape. Another hallmark of the city are the numerous junk shops and antique shops where you will find original collectibles. On Sundays, a wonderful weekly market runs right through the city center. Here you can also try the delicious regional specialties such as the AÏoli in the numerous restaurants.

Activities nearby: We recommend a hike along the Canal de Carpentras to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, where you can visit the largest karst spring in the world before returning by canoe to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The refreshing Sorgue River is also popular with trout anglers. The beautiful natural landscape of the Luberon Regional Park with its stone villages, ocher cliffs and fields of lavender offers other attractive excursion options. Those interested in culture should definitely plan a visit to the former papal city of Avignon.

    “Gut ausgestattetes Haus in ordentlichem Zustand am Ortsrand von L`Isle sur la Sorgue. Verkehrs guenstig gelegen, um die Provence zu erkunden. Pluspunkte waren die ruhige Lage mit schoenem Pool, die eigene Terrasse mit Tisch und Sonnenschirm, Minuspunkte die Tatsache, dass wir selber die Betten beziehen muessten (Bettzeug wurde zur Verfuegung gestellt) und dass wir die Kueche endreinigen mussten (die Endreinigung des Hauses wurde gegen Aufpreis von einer Angestellten uebernommen).
    Ein Supermarkt fusslaeufig zu erreichen. Das Stadtzentrum war ca. 15 Min zu Fuss erreichbar.”

    “Im Haus haben uns Sonnenliegen gefehlt,diese waren auch an der Rezeption nicht erhältlich, Man kann nicht im Stehen duschen wegen der Dachschräge, Am Pool könnte man ein paar Sonnenschirme zu Verfügung stellen Es gibt in der Anlage kein Cafe bzw, eine Bar”
