The marina with its cozy cafés and nice restaurants immediately gives you a holiday feeling. The island is one of the best sailboards in the world and there are also many surfers, because the wind conditions are almost always optimal here! Spend your vacation on the third largest island of Germany, between the bays of Kiel and Mecklenburg in the Baltic Sea. The idyllic fisherman and harvest village of Lemkenhafen with maritime flair is a district of the city of Fehmarn and is located on the western south side of the island. The 20 beaches of Fehmarn are more than 78 km long - ideal for relaxing in one of the sunni regions of Germany. You can reach the island from the mainland via the Fehmarn Sound Bridge. The varied coastline really offers something for everyone: dunes and lakes in the north, steep coasts and cliffs in the east, sandy beaches in the south and breathtaking sunsets in the west. In the hinterland you will find charming landscapes and nature reserves that have to be discovered.

Activities in the area: Lemkenhafen is located on the west coast of Fehmarn and is an old idyllic fishing village. Visit the marina there and eat in one of the cafés and restaurants. If the weather is good, you have to visit the surf school or rent a bicycle at the bicycle rental shop to explore the area on your own. If the weather is not so good, the mill museum offers a great variety. In the neighboring city of Altjellingsdorf you can make a flight about Fehmarn, because there is the smallest airport in Germany. You just want to get away from daily life? In the Badwereld Fehmare you can spoil itself on more than 4,500 m² with massages and cosmetic treatments or relaxing in the different saunas - the panoramas sauna and the sun deck with sauna are the highlights - including a view of the Baltic Sea. Outdoor swimming pools, a wave pool with multiple waters and a water slide offer variety.
